Loving yourself and the way you look can be a challenging task. I mean, take it from me. I am a boudoir photographer who tries to help other women see their worth and view themselves in a way that they don't normally. However, what you probably didn't know, is that I STILL struggle taking my own advice. You don't just wake up one day and decide that you are going to love yourself more. If you can, that's amazing and I am so proud of you! But for most, it is a process that can take anywhere from weeks, months or even years to achieve.

With the pressures of society and competition you might as well kiss your self-esteem goodbye! From a young age we are programmed to think we are never good enough. We watch our parents or guardians put themselves down; in turn, showing us that we need to search for imperfections in ourselves. We watch shows with actresses and actors who are all about the same build, pretty smile, gorgeous hair, curves in all the right places. We drool over the imagination of transforming ourselves into these people. What if we looked that good? Anywhere you turn, there are people and forces influencing the way we see ourselves. So how can we overcome these issues?

Thanks to good ol' pinterest, I found a few steps that, if we follow, will help us all improve our self-image.

If you find yourself following these steps, let us know how it's working out for you. If you have some steps you would like to add that has worked for you, leave some in the comments.
