"She posts those pictures on the internet. I could never do that. I wouldn't want someone to see naked pics of me."
Sound familiar? If not, you're one of the few who understand my process as a boudoir photographer. If this is a thought that may have crossed your mind when you seen photos of my work pop up in your Facebook timeline or any other social media platform then I want to take a moment to educate you.
First and foremost, your privacy and levels of comfort are EVERYTHING to me. I respect that at all costs and I realize that asking you to allow me to share those intimate images of yourself may be asking a lot. When my boudoir business gets brought up, one of the number one and first concerns on everyone's mind is "are you going to just post my pictures on the internet?". And the answer to that is simply "Yes" but ONLY with your written consent. Every session consultation I go over my whole process with the client I am to work with. I answer any concerns he/she may have and then when they are ready to commit to booking their boudie sesh, I immediately send them a client agreement and model release. This release has multiple options that you can either opt for or out of.
Below is the release options taken straight from my Client Agreement:
- FULL RIGHTS RELEASE: The client authorizes Wander & Lust Boudoir Photography to reproduce and display their images both in print and on-line/
- LIMITED RIGHTS RELEASE: The client authorizes Wander & Lust Boudoir Photography to reproduce and display client specified images both in print and on-line. The Client will give permission to the Photographer to only use the pictures in which the Client specifies.
- LIMITED IN PERSON RIGHTS RELEASE: The client authorizes Wander & Lust Boudoir Photography permission to show client specified images to other potential clients in person. The Client will give permission to the Photographer to only use the pictures in which the Client specifies
- FACELESS RIGHTS RELEASE: The client authorizes Wander & Lust Boudoir Photography to reproduce and display their images both in print and on-line as long as long as the client is not recognizable in the images. Specifically, the client’s face would not be showing.
- NO RIGHTS RELEASED: The client DOES NOT authorize Wander & Lust Boudoir Photography to use their images in any marketing or promotional campaigns. By selecting this option the client forgoes their right to a sneak peek on Wander & Lust Boudoir Photography’s blog and will have to wait until their entire gallery is proofed to view their images.
Still want to share your bombass images off but don't want anyone to know it's you? No problem. You can opt for the faceless rights. Or maybe you're only comfortable sharing them in an environment full of only ladies. That's fine too. You can opt for the limited rights and specify where I can and can't share your intimates.
I would absolutely love to share all the gorgeous babes I've had the privilege to work with all over my social media platforms but with the uncertainty of the internet and the obvious comfort levels of my clients, I realize it's not ideal for everyone. Boudoir is about celebrating our bodies and showing ourselves, as well as the world, that we are perfect the way we are. I would only want you to agree to me sharing your photos if you absolutely wanted to and felt safe doing so. I would never pressure you into doing something you didn't want to.
All of the women I have shared online have all signed their contracts and have agreed to the photos I've shared. Each of them have their own reasons for letting others see them. Most of their reasons are to help normalize the REAL human body; to bring awareness to the beauty of all shapes, sizes and skintones. I am only a means to helping their voices be heard.
So if you have been putting off a session because you may have had the idea that I just posted all the images freely, rest assured, that's not the case ;)
I am here for YOU! I want to celebrate YOU however you want show yourself off!
xoxo!
